The transcription project was all about viewing a 2-D image and producing a 3-D interpretation. A microscope image of a flower's seed was used and ceramic forms grew from there. The pieces were hand shaped using pinching and coiling in a buff clay body. The finish on the right was a combination of oxides and a glossy white glaze.
Those on the bottom left incorporated underglaze as the finish, a bright red for the body of the piece and a black to highlight the ridges and grooves. Additionally removing some of the underglaze in areas to further highlight the relief.
